These Apple and Cheese Biscuits are a staple at our kitchen! We love baking these – to try them for yourself you will need:

1 3/4 Cups Whole wheat flour

4 Teaspoons  Baking powder

1 Tablespoon White sugar

1/2 Teaspoon Salt

1/4 Cup Hard butter, cut in cubes

1 Cup Grated cheddar cheese

1 Cup Grated apple

3/4 Cups  Milk

Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl.

Cut in butter with a pastry blender or two knives.

Add grated cheese to mixture and blend thoroughly.

Add grated apple to mixture and blend thoroughly.

Add milk gradually and stir to make a soft biscuit dough.

Drop by heaping tablespoon onto prepared cookie sheets (line with foil & spray with baking spray).

Bake at 425°F for about 10 minutes-until bumpy bits are golden brown.
