Did you know that only a portion of BB4CK lunches is made at our downtown kitchen? The remaining lunches are prepared by dedicated volunteers in our 30+ community kitchens. Today, we’d like to introduce you to Herbert, Master Chef and Founder of Culinary Coworking, a shared kitchen and co-working space for culinary entrepreneurs in Calgary. Herbert has generously donated time in the Culinary Coworking space to BB4CK, providing a clean, safe environment for our volunteers to assemble lunches each week.

Watch the video below to meet Herbert:

“This is one way for us to give back to the community. You have fantastic volunteers – I want to call them angels – who come and prepare good food for young minds in school. I’m so happy to be able to say “come on in”, and prepare your food with us!”

Many of our incredible volunteers donate their time to the community in so many unique ways. Herbert is one of the people that continues to inspire us with his dedication to creating opportunities for young people to flourish. Whether by helping us at BB4CK, or providing space and advice to young entrepreneurs in Calgary, Herbert is always quick to lend a helping hand.

Thank you, Herbert, for being a part of the BB4CK community!
