Every school day, thousands of lunches are prepared in every quadrant of the city to support kids in school— 4,000+ lunches come from our Central Kitchen alone. This incredible effort is only possible thanks to an amazing group of volunteers like you!

Volunteering as a group is a meaningful way to make a direct impact in our city. It’s more than a team-building day; it’s a chance to connect with our community and ensure kids have the food they need to learn, play, and grow. 

Your team can also take it one step further by sponsoring the cost of the lunches you’ll help prepare, joining us in providing nutritious meals to over 7,800 kids each school day.

Getting Ready to Volunteer

Looking to join us as a group? Check this quick checklist before submitting your interest form to make sure your group is ready when spots open up. 

Location & Shifts

All group shifts take place at our central kitchen (909 11 Ave SW) and are available Monday to Thursday:

  • Morning Shift (Lunch Production): 7:15 AM – 11:00 AM
  • Afternoon Shift (Baking): 11:45 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Evening Shift (Next-Day Prep): 4:45 PM – 7:00 PM

Group Size

  • Our kitchen is always bustling to get lunches out on time, so we ask each group to bring at least 10 people (up to 25) ready to roll up their sleeves.
  • Whether you're a workplace team, sports club, or just a bunch of friends who want to give back, any type of group is welcome.
  • Minors—6 and up—are welcome with a responsible adult.

Give Back While Giving Time

BB4CK is a community-funded organization powered by the generosity of groups like yours.

We ask that groups make a financial gift to sponsor the food you’ll help prepare, covering the cost of thousands of lunches and deepening your impact.

Your donation helps provide:
Give 1000 lunches: $4,000
Give 600 lunches: $ 2,400
Give 400 lunches: $1,600
Give 250 lunches: $1,000
