BB4CK Central Kitchen Volunteer Opportunities
Morning Production
Kick off our kitchen operations by assembling sandwiches, preparing fruits and vegetables, and getting lunches out the door to be delivered across the city.
Shifts: Sunday–Friday; various times starting at 6 am and running until 11 am.
Afternoon Production
Get a head start on the next day’s production, making sandwiches, organizing snacks, and prepping fresh fruit and veggies.
Shifts: Sunday–Thursday; various times from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Evening Production
Wrap up production, ensuring everything is ready for the following morning production.
Shifts: Tuesdays and Thursdays; 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
Delivery Driver
Lunches make their way safely from the Central Kitchen to schools all across the city. Drivers pick up their assigned route and lunch bins, then deliver them directly to designated schools.
Shifts: Monday to Friday, various times between 8:45 am and 10 am.
* This role also runs during the summer to support lunch deliveries for kids in our Summer Camp Program.
Summer Production (July to August)
Summer Volunteers ensure kids in summer camps receive nutritious food by preparing and packing lunches. Their support helps keep kids nourished and energized for summer activities.
Shifts: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 7:00 am – 10:30 am
