Donating your securities directly to BB4CK rather than donating after you sell your investment allows you to donate the total value of the security to BB4CK without having to pay capital gains tax on the investment.
In addition, you receive a charitable tax receipt for the fair market value of the security. There are two ways you can donate securities to BB4CK:
1. Work directly with BB4CK Bank (preferred) – Contact Colleen Smith at colleen.smith@bb4ck.org or (587) 324-1409, and she will send you our Charitable Donation of Securities form, which you can fill out with our financial advisor.
